Khancoban is within easy driving range to all the major New South Wales ski resorts. Thredbo is 70klms (just over an hour away), without the traffic hassles, which often occur on the Jindabyne side. Perisher blue is only another 10 mins to the bottom of the "Ski Tube" (A mountain rack railway linking The Alpine Way with Perisher Valley and Mt Blue Cow). Mt Selwyn (ideal beginner/family resort) is only 75 mins via the Elliott Way.
